If you check the boards there are plenty of people who have seen which clubs have been accepted. They just don’t know how this affects McLean with FVU or Loudon with NVA. But the clubs aren’t telling the kids whether they are trying out for ECNL or GA/MLS NeXT. Telling indeed. Do you really think the clubs are holding ID sessions in 2 weeks without knowing what league they are going to be in? Do you really think McLean found out before NVA? When announcements come out in days, do you think they made up their mind, the board voted on it, they changed their socials and website immediately? Or do you think the obvious answer is they knew weeks ago and haven’t said yet because it is in the clubs’ best interest not the kids?
Don’t you think McLean or Loudoun would be jumping to be the first in the area to announce MLSN and hold tryouts before the others? Believe me if they could announce they would. Either it’s not really official yet or MLSN is making them wait. MLSN and boys is the prize for these clubs. They will do whatever is necessary on the girls side to win the MLSN prize.

Anonymous wrote:From what have heard, acceptances came out weeks ago. The only thing missing is their announcements on whether to stay ECNL as well, or not. If they are not making the announcements it is because they don’t want to let the kids know what league they are trying out for. I don’t know their motivation for the delay on announcement, but you can bet it is to retain membership and not because it is in the kids’ best interest to know what league they are trying out for. ID season is stressful enough on kids without clubs making it worse for them whatever reason.

Anonymous wrote:IF McLean and Loudoun/NVA have already decided to go GA/MLS Next 2, and have not made an announcement yet, while all the clubs , including McLean and Loudoun/NVA are signing up kids for ID sessions, then they have lost all credibility for saying they care about the kids. Not allowing the kids to have the knowledge to make an informed decision on what club’s IDs they want to participate in and what leagues those clubs are going to participate in is wrong and only good for the club, not the kids. They would have known weeks ago about whether they were accepted. The IDs are two weeks away! IF this is the case, all kids should flee these clubs for failure to let the kids make an informed decision. Kids should know what they are trying out for when they commit to try out. Anything less is a decision to lie to kids. How could you trust that club to do what is best for the kids.

Depart for ECNL to where? Options will be VDA, Union, or Arlington. Only a few at most from each team would be good enough to make it into those teams. And some won’t want to add long commutes. Majority will stay and play GA simply because they won’t have another option and will want to stay with their teammates.
Count on it…
Ok, then the ones who are bumped will fill the GA teams. It’s just a shuffling of the same players across the same number of teams. It’s not as big a deal as you think. All these clubs will have no problem filling their roster with paying customers whether the patch says ECNL or GA.
For a GA id session which will culminate to???!
they dont care about the girls lol. Thats why ur here posting. Accept it and move on… isn’t DMV futbol great?! Best products for sureAnonymous wrote:because you all assume you have a trapped customer base. Lol some of these girls will elect to play HS or drop all together. There will be additional team if McLean leaves Union for GA.
