This is so absurd. So if one of them had a child presenting a case at the court, they could just choose not to recuse themself? This is a standard that basically says there is no such thing as conflict of interest.
I wish they would extend this to all judges, all federal contractors etc. After all, all men are created equal before the law. If deciding for yourself is good enough for the supreme court, it should be for the rest of us as well.

Agreed. I have said this on other threads. GOP under Gingrich started down this path of demonizing Democrats as enemies instead of colleagues with different opinions. The painted compromise as weakness and defeat instead of the WHOLE PURPOSE OF CONGRESS.
You don't like the country right now? Tell the GOP to learn how to govern again instead of playing at it.

People are afraid to touch it but this is the same reason Confederate symbols were attacked. Now the left has come for the spirit of ‘76, thinking that it was going to stop with the Confederacy. They are coming for ALL of it.
Marxism has to divorce the target population from their shared heritage in order to create a new societal foundation untethered from the limiting constitutional framework our country was founded on.
