I would never claim it’s better than the top notch schools (and nor would my northeastern student.) at the same time, my very smart and high stats kid is having a great time there, got a great coop, loves Boston and their social life.
I’m surprised and perplexed by the very strong feelings on both sides of this but in case some prospective parent is reading wanted to say i don’t get these same weird vibes among the (admittedly few) other parents I’ve met and my student is having a good experience. Good luck to all in the college search!
Congratulations, but other parents disagree with you. They all regard NEU as a top 10 school. The acceptance rate is lower than most ivies for heavens sake!
It's the same anti+NEU troll that has plagued this board for years. Older woman, kid denied at NEU even though the school was beneath the aptitude of the child. Claims of making up admissions stats, gaming rankings, horrible school, horrible professors, horrible students soon followed and haven't let up since.
DP. Why aren't you letting up? I find the PPs who continually come back to defend the school and even claim it belongs in the top 20 to be even more bizarre.
