Hailing from the fashion brand’s fall 2019 show, the coat features a statement collar with a black-and-white print of a 19th-century neoclassical sculpture of kissing lovers, per Vogue’s review of the collection.

No one should be wearing a statement piece to a funeral.

I'm not sure "always professional" is the right phrase, although I guess it depends on the profession. Maybe he wished she'd dress for rhino hunting?

This article says K’s clothing was a reason for the breakup and that he wanted someone his dad would approve of more. I guess Don Senior doesn’t think K is a “10.”

I.e., she's too old now.

My thoughts exactly. And also if Guilfoyle’s wardrobe was “too professional” we should expect fireworks in here from Bettina.

I read somewhere that yesterday was the one year anniversary of her mother's death or funeral, so her feelings about that might have contributed to her appearance.

She has noughties-era porn star eye makeup for a fkn state funeral. I mean, what is the objection to light mascara and a black or navy dress?

I don't think I've ever seen her with less makeup. She always goes heavy on it.

can someone post the pic of the frock on this page? In the "contemporary feminine connotations" section near the bottom.

There really should be a stickie explaining how to post images. I thought I understood when it's been explained but has never worked for me.

Back to coats (a coat is not a frock, even if it is a frock coat)

I wonder how much she was paid to hold his hand.

Inappropriate for a funeral.
Totally! It looked like a Puritan collar with dirt on it. Why did she even attend? She said she wasn't going to do the Washington thing.

LOL. Her "fashion days" did not involve the likes of Valentino...

To be fair, the contrast and color of this image is off.

The wind was terrible today.

+1
I had my hair done today and it looked so great when I left the salon. After an hour of running errands in the wind, I looked like a drowned rat. DP

You don’t wear things that require a designer’s statement to a funeral. (Alessandro Michele is a clown.)
