Does it say whether or not the monitoring was local to Pelosi's home? I read that article and it was unclear

Well this is a quote from the Cheif of the Capitol Police that directly explains the threat we are facing as a country:

“In a statement Tuesday, Capitol Police Chief Tom Manger said that while there have been improvements — for instance, the department is on track to hire 280 additional officers this year — the country’s “political climate” is going to necessitate “additional layers of physical security.”

So if Trump and Republicans don’t intend to harm anyone then why do we need additional physical layers of security to protect Pelosi?

Oh yes a Republican was threatened. Suspect was arrested. But honestly, we were discussing members of Congress. This was a man running for Governor of Illinois. I applaud your google efforts to find a GOP getting death threats. It’s wrong and no one should get death threats. Let me know when you run across GOP in Congress getting them (that aren’t RINOs but MAGA).
