This is the most childish thread I have read in a long time. How about let the players do their thing and the parents stay out of it and just cheer on their respective programs.

you are oblivious and ludicrous to compare college and high school. Shows how much you know about glax. Do you understand what denying the ball means, obviously not. You don't have to face guard a player to deny them the ball, thats coaching 101. Go post on some rec league boards because that's where you belong.

Oakton middie - Charlotte North, “what’s the difference?” - Oakton fan.

Someone is full of themselves. Does the poster really think the coaches facing Oakton haven’t tried to face guard or double the star player? Of course they have. The problem is that unless you can deny the star with one player, you are forcing the rest of your defense into a man down situation. Oakton has enough scorers and feeders to take advantage of too much focus on a single player. If taking a team’s star player out of a game was so easy, I suspect we wouldn’t see so many productive superstars in the college ranks. How many teams do you think tried to deny Charlotte North? You might want to pick that mic back up. 😂

6.2 goals per game is very good for a defense. The problem with oakton and it’s no secret, take away the JMU commit and oakton puts up about 6 points in offense. All other teams and coaches take note, deny the JMU girl the ball and you should win the game. Mic drop

A loss is a loss no matter the score. Justify it however you want

Oakton’s defense is currently giving up an average of 6.2 goals per game. Of course, that’s not against the strongest opponents, but you can only play the teams on your schedule. Madison hasn’t played enough games for an average goals for or against to mean much, but holding The Potomac School to 10 points is pretty good.

Ya, cville Madison or Robinson is not putting up 18 goals vs oakton. Oakton strength is their defense and goalie, not so much for their offense.

LB, FC, and Annandale aren’t the teams to brag putting up 18 goals against…Oakton has played stronger teams. Put 18 goals against Oakton then we’ll discuss offenses.

Agreed with pp in that it’s up for grabs for whichever team wants it the most.
