I haven't seen the trans post you refer to, but I was just looking at her "For the Love" about breaking up female friendships.
I mean, really? Is that common? Maybe if you are the type that can only be friends with people who think just like you?? Do these people sit around thinking of what weird petty emotions they can summon up in their web of overblown self importance? I have friendships that due to time and circumstances are kind of off on the back burner, but given a crisis, would be front and center. What is the purpose of "breaking up" a friendship? Maybe I missed that in the 8th grade, but life is too fragile and profound to sit around dwelling on nonsense.

To be fair chromosomes have always been divergent and there are people who have an xxy chromosome etc. I don't know why it is so hard to see shades of gray for so many right wingers and Christians, but God made all of us...the abled and disabled, the gender conforming and gender divergent, the binary and non binary.


We’ve also always had the easily led, the mentally weak, and the helpless crowd followers.

Any intelligent person, certainly any person of science, who doesn’t push back against this nonsense is a coward.

There will only be “warts and all” in Jen’s memoir in one direction. As a histrionic narcissist she can only be the total hero or the total victim.

And it would be cowardly and craven because Jen fears most of all not being relevant or famous or wealthy. Those would be the motivators here.

Glennon seems to have Jen's ear, and I would bet cash money she is encouraging her to write an "authentic" memoir, warts and all. Add to that her editor telling her to "leave nothing..." blah blah suggests a tell-all.

Jen could describe her church upbringing and church hurt, purity culture trauma, Syd's journey, the divorce, and come out smelling like a rose. Her hero's journey. Her editor knows people will buy this book. And Jen has apparently zero people in her life giving her sage advice to pack in the public persona and maybe get some true healing away from the public eye?

Both Jen and Brandon have already spilled a lot about what happened. I’m not sure what else she could say that would be worthy of writing a book.

No one here would call Brandon an amazing husband.

For all the support Jen has (friends, family, occasional speaking gigs), she is still kind of floundering and hasn't healed from the divorce.

The Chick Fil A post was terribly timed on the heels of her Me course about parenting a child with same sex attraction. What the heck was she thinking? That she could get away with posting about CFA in a cute post, complete with spicy and sweet family group text screenshots?
Her new book is her last chance to salvage what marketability she has left. Like many of you have guessed, it's probably a big, Glennon-esque tell-all. Jen sees that Brandon is doing great without her, so why not spill the beans and make a few bucks and have some catharsis? He will be just fine.

Jen was already cancelled. She never really bounced back from it. The divorce and cookbook could’ve had momentum but weirdly, she tied them both to Tyler.

Every year or so she does a CFA post and gets all sorts of engagment on it. This has been rehashed several times. The main issue is why she thinks anyone in the world needs to know when she and her family get fast food. Oh I know, it's to drum up engagement and point out she had a salad and has a LGBTQ+ kid.
