That is because a great 12-year old golfer is a lot closer to good pro golfers than any 12-year-old soccer player in the world. You are comparing a game with a sport. You may as well talk about chess wunderkinder while you are at it. But I generally agree that talent at this age is usually talent when older, and untalented at this age won’t become talented later. The difference is how we all look at talent. There are plenty of talented kids at this age who are behind the growth curve who will dominate if and when they grow fully into athletes. Of course they may not. But it is pretty obvious who those kids are, and pretty obvious which kids have an edge due to hitting the growth curve earlier.

No u13 team keeps the same roster for 5 years. Players will leave/get injured/change teams for various reasons. Player movement of even just a few players will change the team performance. Which is why focusing on (bragging about) team wins at this age is silly

You obviously don't have an older dc playing the game. Once you get to high school the game is different. Kids grow, get a better understanding of the game and it's a more even level playing field. The teams that once dominated don't do so much. The scores are closer.
