This is a great statement.. So true. And, glad that Blackburn pointed it out.
Where did any of the democratic senators questions her about her personal faith?
The only people talking about her faith were republicans.
Really! So all the Democrats who kept bringing up the petition she signed at her church re: abortion weren’t asking about her personal faith? Interesting!

No. It is not. It is the foundational basis for ALL subsequent right to privacy basis. A pillar of substantive due process. Both of which are anathema to Originalists.

I am a liberal, never-Trump lawyer who thinks the Democratic senators have done a terrible job in this hearing. It’s utterly ridiculous to keep pointing out that ACB is nothing like RBG. There are plenty of things to press her on: what the 2nd Amendment meant at the time it was written (spoiler alert: not semi-automatic assault rifles), how to reconcile her previous statement that Garland shouldn’t be confirmed during an election year, and others. But to whine about policy and to complain to her that she holds a judicial philosophy different from RBG just adds fuel to the GOP’s fire.

DP. Actually, she didn’t misspeak or gaffe one time. Not once. She is very deliberate about every word and means what she says. It must be so disappointing for you! She is a dignified, serious scholar and judge who knows the law inside and out. She’ll make an excellent justice.
