Karma is not that immediate - but really it would be nice if particularly hard hit red states turned purple as a result of all the old angry white people refusing the vaccine and dying.

Conservative firebrand Bob Enyart, the pastor of the Denver Bible Church and indelible talk show host, has died from COVID-19, his radio co-host announced Monday on Facebook.
Enyart and his wife refused to get the vaccine due to abortion concerns, he said on his website.
In October, Enyart successfully sued the state over mask mandates and capacity limits in churches, a rare legal victory against broad public health mandates instituted during the pandemic.

Feel free to mock Enyart's death since he used to “gleefully read obituaries of AIDS sufferers while cranking ‘Another One Bites the Dust’ by Queen."
What does that even mean, "refused to get the vaccine due to abortion concerns"? Liberals like abortion and liberals like the vaccine so both are evil?

Only the vaccine works. That’s it.
The monoclonal antibodies show quite a bit of promise, particularly if given early on in the course of the disease. They are readily available.
NP. That’s true, but administrating monoclonal antibodies requires hospitalization, and in some places, they don’t have the staff to take more patients, so you can’t count on having easy access to treatment once you’ve already got covid.
No, monoclonal antibodies do not require hospitalization. They are also given on an outpatient basis. Here in the dmv, you can make an appointment at Inova to get the antibodies (see their website).
That sounds like using abortion as a form of birth control. Anti-choice people should be against both.

I think Limbaugh used to do that too.
So vile.

"We did not have a pandemic, folks. We were lied to," Lowry said in the May 30 sermon.
He referred to Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, as "Dr. Falsey" — "I did not mispronounce that. That’s the way I wanted to say it." — and labeled him a liar and pervert. He also took issue with media coverage of the COVID-19 treatment hydroxychloroquine and the theory coronavirus originated in a Wuhan lab.

Hey, that’s my county!
While I have no ill-will towards this man, I would not mind if the county council had one less Trumpy anti-vaxxer.
Central Florida is such a random place. I live less than a mile away in an adjacent district that is represented by a Democratic black woman. The political balance in this area is so close to parity that just one or two points in either direction makes a difference.
We should probably start another thread - but how are you feeling about Val Demmings v Rubio? And are you liking Nikki Fried or Charlie Crist?
I would have had Demmings run for governor if I were queen, which I am not.

An Alaska state senator pitched a fit refusing to comply with mask mandate at airport and so has been banned from Alaska Airlines indefinitely. It is the only airline now flying from Juneau to Anchorage (where her district is located). Best paragraphs are the last two:
"While it’s possible to drive from Anchorage to Juneau — and Reinbold said she has made the trek herself after the ban — it’s an arduous journey of about 800 miles that takes two days of travel.
It starts with several hundred miles of Alaska Route 1, a narrow wilderness highway with some tight curves and few passing lanes. The next leg crosses the Canadian border and cuts through the Yukon. Then, it’s a relatively quick hop to Haines, Alaska, on the southern coast. From there, it’s a four-hour ferry ride to the state capital."
Ha ha ha ha!
