I visited Louisville last year with my family. That is another one that locals pronounce their own way and the rest of us get wrong frequently

In the south, Worcester is pronounced like Wooster and Louisville is “Lewis-ville”

I thought Louisville was "Lou-a-ville" just like Baltimore is "Ball-mer" for locals.

You are from Tx but apparently never went there. I heard bad things about TTU and Lubbock, but the photos of TTU that I saw all looked nice. So a few months ago I was driving across the country & decided to take a look for myself.

The city is nice, no bad smell. Nice bars & restaurants adjacent to campus. The campus is very pretty, as nice as any large campus I’ve seen, and I’ve seen many. Beautiful architecture, nice landscaping etc. Just do a Google search & look at the photos if you don’t believe me.
