It's one of the most competitive groups, with TONS of girls trying out (everyone wants to be on almighty Arlington) and they take FOREVER to sort through and make offers.

Reminder BRYC won't be in a league next year. We went and didn't find out until the last day of tryouts.

I don't understand. What is there to be upset about?
at the parent meeting they said they might have two teams for this age group. there seemed to be enough kids for two teams at the tryouts but they have only announced one team.
There were not enough 2009s at the tryouts for two teams. The tryout was a combined 2009, 2008s, and 2007s...so that's why it looked like enough kids for two 2009 teams. Plus, some kids did not accept offers. I heard there will be one 2009 team, one 2008 team, and NO 2007 team (not enough kids for even one team). Sure, the hope is to have two teams per age group, so that at U13 you have enough kids who trained together for a while under the same philosophy to create an 11v11 team. So are you upset because your kid didn't get an offer and he probably would if there was a 2nd team?
Wow. You seem lovely. My kid made the team at the first tryout.

Sonyhe ted teams might really be like the C teams then.
It's marketing genius. The gloating dads at my office talking about how their son is now on the red team. Well--24 kids just add it above him...
24 kids at U12??!?!!
The red team had 12 players.
It's good they have 100 kids in the age group so the C/D team can fill the A/B team spots. What do these kids think will happen when these 24 kids are released back down into the pool in 2 years? Are most of the 24 DA kids from Arlington?
