I thought that since this is a biologic problem, it would have been nice to have someone in charge who knew BIOLOGY and had some administrative experience, not political.
Maybe a head of an HMO, an ex military health administrator, a public health official from a large state or county.
They don't get it, this is serious. Not a prize position to be handed to someone to enhance his or her career.
Not sure I agree. Seems like this position is primarily going to be about coordination, and a former Chief of Staff knows coordination. And like it or not, Ebola is becoming increasingly political, so it really needs to be someone with some political acumen as well.

I don't understand what happened with the woman at the pentagon? She made the whole thing up? Was it for attention? It's people like that who are making this a worse situation. What the hell is wrong with people.
From my understanding, she did get sick but lied about being in Africa or around anyone from Africa. I'm guessing she is mentally unstable and wanted the attention. Kind of like the guy who sneezed on the plane and said he has Ebola. Every time something comes up that causes mass panic (bombs on planes, illnesses, etc) you always see a few of these people crop up. Likely they have always told small lies to get attention and no one has picked up on it before.
No she was very sick and got on the wrong bus(a shuttle bus vs metro bus). The report of being from Africa was made up ....much like your post.
