Brown, Rhode Island and Providence are some of the safest places in the entire USA. Their campus is one of the safest.

You cannot protect against a single nutjob like this, particularly on an urban campus.

We should be going after the guns and the root of the problem instead of quarterbacking and taking the focus from why and how we have crazies with guns shooting up kids (and adults) in America. It’s natural to think it wouldn’t happen at your school, your shopping mall, your place of business because you are so protected. You do this as protection- if you believe you can do everything to prevent this in terms of locks, cameras, etc—-you have lost the battle. You can’t, it’s the guns and the mental health and an administration and chat rooms that invite this violence.

The video of him pacing, is not in front of the building where the shooting happened.

Having a gun is for an infrequent emergency just like your regular insurance. If you can't see the parallel I don't know what to tell you.

Robust 1A helps prevent the infrequent emergencies.

Yes, the guy in the hotel room was "effectively cleared" after forensic evidence wasn't a match to him. It sounds like the FBI ran out and detained him based on a tip (maybe it was someone at the hotel saying they saw a guy with guns there) and announced it, all excited, before actually checking things out.
