Those are all selective and above schools. Was there a safety or have one in mind for RD or rolling admit?

Is Pitt "selective" and "above" at this point in the cycle??

(No info on aid. The letter says info about aid will come in January, and “not all EA students will receive their financial aid offers at the same time.”)

DC is in at Fordham Gabelli too! Our letter indicated that FA decisions will be on a rolling basis starting January 27th. We don't expect FA, but are really hoping for merit. DC received significant merit at two other schools, so it would be hard to pay the sticker price. We submitted the FAFSA and CSS.

Does this mean merit decisions are coming 1/27? Or are they already out and we just didn't receive any?

Congratulations! For what it’s worth my twins were accepted and one got a $10k merit offer. Maybe contact the admissions office and ask if more merit will be distributed later? I have also heard cases of students receiving merit after telling a school they are the 1st choice but they had other merit offers from other schools. From what I can tell Fordham is trying to elevate their student profile so may be a “buyer” (Jeff Selingo’s terminology) and willing to deal.

I assumed it meant merit decisions are coming 1/27. I hope!

We were kind of surprised our daughter was not offered merit. She has a 35 ACT, 3.95 UW GPA, and many other amazing ECs. She won't enroll, but based on our son's merit a few years ago (similar stats), we were kind of expecting even a small amount. I see that some were already offered merit based on social media posts.
