I think you'll see a lot of the back half of Blue's roster pick up on schools like W&M, as usual and like we've seen with several of the Blue commits already. There should be a lot of crossover with Orange. These are all great schools and many families prioritize education in addition to playing lax. Remember, not all families and players have the same priorities as you, and they are looking for fit.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Wow! Congratulations! Interesting to see Orange going before all of Blue.
William and Mary is ranked 95th in the 2024 D1 rankings. It makes perfect sense that an Orange player would take this incredible opportunity. Solid choice! Congrats! I doubt W&M is high on the list for a Capital Blue recruit. The Orange and Blue teams are probably targeting very different schools, so whether a Orange or Blue team player commits before the other is sort of irrelevant. they are not in competition with each other.
W&M would be a safety for Blue. Would be higher on the list for Orange. In theory, both could end up there and it’s all good.
Then why didn’t we see any of the said blue players visiting W&M announce their commitment? You still need grades to get into that school. Their curriculum is on par with Ivies.
The top half of Blue have committed. And not all to school options better than W&M. So half left, not a quartile. The condescension on here is amazing. Hope it isn't in the genes.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:It's not. Just one or a couple of Cap Blue moms who don't want to be considered on par with Cap Orange. Weird.Anonymous wrote:I don't think this is a safety school at all for any blue or orange player. It's a highly desirable school within driving distance of the DMV with great academics and an awesome new coach. I bet some of these blue players are waiting to see all their offers before they decide. They are taking there time to consider ALL their offers. The orange player was smart to jump on the offer. There are players with offers now for 2-3 weeks trying to decide and finish up their visits.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I disagree. It is still early in the process for many. We still have fall tourneys.
It absolute is safety for the top half of blue players but i agree it’s a target school for bottom quartile
