It’s much easier to accuse a huge portion of the population of being brainwashed, groomed, exploited then it is to accept that there has been a hard left turn in policy in this country, and others, that is harming the livelihoods and physical safety of others. Other nations like Italy, the Netherlands, and Australia have people fighting against the same policies. When you threaten an individual’s ability to work, feed their family, physical movement, etc, they tend to get angry.

Except DePape didn’t act based on policy differences. He believes all kind of batsh!t crazy conspiracies. This wasn’t a reaction to what you perceive as a hard left shift; it was a marriage between mental illness and a reaction to disinformation that is designed to make people deny reality.
