If it is hidden, why does it matter to you? You do realize that if you walking on a trail you are walking on animal excrement, not simply walking by it. I'm sure you lunatics would also complain if you walk by dog owners in a narrow trail and get a whiff of the dog poop being carried in the bag.

Yep, found the irresponsible dog owner. It is insane to me that so many dog owners now literally cannot wrap their brains around the fact that they need to pick up after their dog, not let their dog off leash, not take the dog where it isn’t allowed, not let the dog jump on random people. Do you really not get that not everyone loves your dog as much as you do? On the other hand, from what I read here, people are so dog obsessed they don’t care about other people. People with allergies, people who have a phobia….no f’s given.

It really started to happen when many dog owners began to think of their dogs as human. Some always did, but it’s become socially acceptable to pretend that dogs are people too.

Similar situation. I see walkers in the neighborhood pitch luxury water bottles in the same exact spot over and over. I don't know if it's the same 1 or 2 jerks or if others see the first 1 or 2 bottles, then pitch theirs in the same spot; monkey see, monkey do. It adds up to dozens if we don't clean it up like bi weekly. And I'm quite sure they all consider themselves environmentally conscious liberals, too. I've never ever thrown a water bottle when walking. How damn lazy do you have to be to hold an empty water bottle for 10 or 20 minutes?

DH installed camera around the yard for this exact issue. We have signs up already and still find poop on the front lawn. I once saw someone bagged poop and threw it in a neoghtov’s trash can. I thought it might be their new nanny. But later realized this lady and the dog dont even live in the neighborhood.

Yep. OP here. There’s a thread already on my local Nextdoor with someone complaining about my exact issue—multiple poop bags being dropped regularly on their property. And lots of others chiming in that they are seeing it regularly.

This is just like letting dogs off leash on a playground. Dog owners are getting increasingly inconsiderate. All they care about is their dog.

Didn’t read replies but I do this almost every day. BUT I pick it up on the way home!

My dog poops every day in the same spot at the end of our block near a neighbors house (in a dirt/bush area on the side of the road, not in neighbors yard- huge lots, very far out burb). I put it behind a bush and pick it up on the way back.

If the bag is truly well-hidden, then it’s all the more likely the walker will forget to go back and pick it up. I’m sure all the people who are afraid they won’t notice they’ve dropped a bag of poop while walking are definitely remembering 100% of the time to go back and retrieve their little sacks of sh*t.

And for those that don’t bother to hide it but think it’s nbd, do you assume people who throw their empty soda bottles or candy wrappers along the trail are also coming back for it? Should we give them the same benefit of the doubt? Or do you really think you’re superior to a common litterer? And nobody’s answered my question about leaving balled up, soiled diapers on the ground—because I’m coming back for it, I swear!
