Focus on IT & air - Dell, Tesla, Southwest, American Airlines, AT&T
If you have At&T mobile, call them now and switch to Verizon. That's something "easy" that almost everyone can do. If you fly, take another airlines - United? Delta? buy Apple not Dell.

I am a Texas and my kid will likely be going to UT next year and maybe my other 2 after that. I am ok with it. But I am leaving this state as soon as I can.

I'd let my kid make her own informed decision, but her ability to access healthcare is a factor she might want to take into consideration.
I'm from the South, don't dislike the South or Southerners at all (and I know and love many conservatives), but I wouldn't begrudge my daughter making choices that let her live the life she wants to live.
