Look at Oregon. Covid continues to surge and the mask mandates are not slowing the spread. Everyone will eventually become infected.

We are vaccinated except 1 kid and she got covid and it was seriously more mild than most colds. Ooh scary. Luckily my kids aren’t morbidly obese….

Um, look at Australia? An island can’t control the spread indefinitely. They are using extreme measures like quarantine camps and jail.

Covid will become a cold. The debate is to whether we can slow the spread with mitigations. Not clear we can. The spread cannot be stopped. It will become endemic.
