Let’s go backwards with the textbooks/workbooks. While ST Math might seem clunky, it does conceptually teach math concepts that helps with modeling math and not just memorizing. Just a different way to approach learning.

I'm waiting for that one PP to come on here and tell us her child stopped doing math because ST Math ruined everything for her child, LOL.

Are your kids still required to use st math? If so, what grade does it become optional?

Knowing Gatehouse if they did this it would be to lecture the PTA on why ST Math is great and we are stupid, not to listen to us on what we as parents actually see and know.

Because does Gatehouse actually ever listen unless there's bad press/media about them? And even then the response is to force schools to generate positive Instagram/Facebook posts...

+1. At the beginning of the year my 6th grader's math teacher was sending home useful worksheets that built skills. Then she switched to making the kids do ST Math for homework. The worksheets were 1000x better.

Just curious, can a parent just not give permission for these programs?

The program is awful and seems designed to be slow. The old chromebooks cannot run it well and it lags even more. Its trash.
