So original covid with enormous mitigation strategies is more deadly than flu without? That’s a pretty strong argument against exposing kids to delta without mitigation.

That's exactly the reason I started this thread. My kids did well in remote learning last year, and I keep leaning more and more towards pulling them for virtual school. I wish DCPS would run it, since I feel strongly about public schools. I'm also concerned about people in my same situation that can't afford to do a private online school.

That's exactly the reason I started this thread. My kids did well in remote learning last year, and I keep leaning more and more towards pulling them for virtual school. I wish DCPS would run it, since I feel strongly about public schools. I'm also concerned about people in my same situation that can't afford to do a private online school.

the infection will go through vulnerable populations. it does not care if the vulnerable people are pro-trump or anti-trump or don't know who trump is.....it does not care if they are in kentucky or virginia or maryland or DC.

There would be no reason to hospitalize kids over 12 if people in Kentucky were not idiots.

And? What is your point? Are you trying to argue something about covid? that it is more dangerous than flu? less dangerous? Give us apples to apples per capita stats and make your point.

ok - link to that stats please that 1 in 100 kids with chicken pox end up in the hospital. That is very concerning. In many states - kids do not attend school without required vaccinations... chickenpox is highly contagious.
