Besides, not the lesbians on this thread who find the presence of bachelorette parties and other large groups of cishet women in gay spaces annoying. This isn't about preserving male spaces, because there are almost zero "gay male" bars in 2021. This is about ensuring that queer spaces remain safe for queer people.

Inclusion goes both ways, honey. Not so great when it’s your space being invaded, is it? Oh, well.

PP here. I couldn’t care less. You can’t exclude women from gay male spaces, so I guess you’ll just have to stay mad.

Cis/hetero people are the majority. The majority doesn't get to invade the very rare spaces for minorities. The world is your safe space. If you are a woman who claims to be afraid of trans women, they are you an idiot or a liar. Look at the statistics on assault. It's cis hetero men you should be afraid of.

That was my thought exactly! Bachelor/ette parties in public spaces are dumb and probably annoying to other guests, regardless of sexual orientation or gender.

Another lesbian here and I don't go out much anymore because I have young kids but damn, this shit used to drive me C R A Z Y for the reasons you describe! Most of my friends (before kids) are/were gay men so I would frequent the kinds of spaces that these gaggles of women would fall up into, and you're exactly right, I ended up feeling kind of uncomfortable in my own community.
