I was thinking of the same example.

This question comes from SUCH a sense of ignorance.

The people who died from poor diet are not on view anywhere, so you would not expect to see them there (duh!!)

And there are always exceptions to behaviors that ADD to risk, they do not equal a bad outcome for ALL people who take the risk.

If McDonalds food is not very healthy for you, shouldn't most of those elderly seniors be dead by now?

my grandparents were Burger King fanatics. My grandma just recently died at age 96, my grandpa about a decade before her. They practically lived on whoppers with cheese and frosties.

I think health really boils down to exercise , sleep hygiene, and general happiness.

While I agree with a PP who said the socialization is good for them. Have you never overheard the conversations these 60 to 80-year-olds are having? Almost all of their conversations revolve around their doctors appointments and upcoming procedures.

They're living long not because of McDonald's, they're living long because they're greedy boomers who looted the nation and retired with obscene pensions and platinum lifetime health care. They piss away six- and seven-figures on end of life health care WE have to pay for! All so they can drive to McDonald's every morning in their new $80,000 Corvettes or top spec pickup trucks.

But thanks for saving America through your sacrifices during WW2.

NP. Dude. Learn your history. Boomers were not the WW2 generation. Their parents were. Their parents were “ the greatest generation.” Boomers not so much. Duh.

The very youngest of the WWII vets would be around 98-99. In other words, there are very very few still alive and even fewer driving themselves to McD. Korean vets aren’t much younger. The McD crowd are more likely the Vietnam vets.

Socializing is more important to health than veggies.

Unless you work there or you go hang out there every morning then how do you know the same people are eating there everyday?

For 1) they probably started coming regularly in retirement 2) they get black coffee and (maybe) an egg McMuffin. That’s probably the heathiest thing on the menu. But many are just there for senior discount coffee and socializing

Pretty sure processed food isn’t good for a body, but.

Anonymous wrote:Drinking a coffee and eating an egg mcmuffin every day will not kill you. In fact, it's healthy and good for seniors to get up every morning and get out and about by going to McDonalds. Even better if they're meeting up in a group and socialising like the picture above!

+1. Getting out and about and socializing signals these are somewhat healthy, mobile seniors with a social life.
