Marcia is gunning for what she wants!
Yeah that was probably the most predictable scene of them all. I heard they originally wanted Isabella Rossellini for that role, and she'd have been great.
I would have loved to see Isabella Rossellini in the role of Marcia, but I also really like the actress playing Marcia. They would have had to write the Marcia role much bigger/differently for Isabella Rosellini, who is arguably more famous than anyone in the cast. Marcia, like everyone in this show, is in it for Marcia, but even more so for her because it's not intended that she will have a large corporate role.
I did love in this episode where you get a better glimpse of what Marcia is after. I feel like the show has done a pretty good job with straddling the line between is Marcia a flat out gold digger, or does Marcia have actual feelings for Logan? I think this last episode answered answered to #1 and the answer to #2 is much more up in the air.
The Marcia scene was the highlight of this episode with the donut scene being a distant second. I found most of it boring. The discussion among the siblings whether they "knew" what was going on in the cruise division was interesting. Kendall does seem to have a desire to build something "good."
But, the kids are all kind of one dimensional and Shiv's character is the worst in that regard. She needs an arc this season.
