They said practices would start week of June 7 in the promo materials and packet but didn't actually start until week of June 21. That's four practices down from what was promised. We got two practices and then the last three practices have been canceled (two for heat, one for rain). No effort to makeup. No uniforms they said we'd get.

Halfway through season and we have had a whopping two practices. For $625 .... and there's 20 girls on the roster for 9 v 9. What a ripoff money grab. I had heard Super Y has some issues like this, but this is just absurd.

Your experience is your team, not BSC or Super Y as a whole. With my 2 boys, I have been through 6 Super Y seasons with Bethesda. Never any issues or problems and it prepared them for the Fall season. It was especially valuable when they moved from U12 to U13 to the larger field.

Super Y rosters must be huge because it is Summer and you have many people who miss practice and games because of vacations, etc. If you had a normal roster for Summer, you would never have enough players.

The alternative to Super Y is private training which does not give competitive experience, self training which kids generally will not do and still lacks competitive games, or do nothing but play video games all Summer and try to get back in shape during the Fall. For all its faults, Super Y is still a good program.

I agree with almost everything you said and still think it's a great investment for the reasons you stated (my player also prefers games/ competition). But OP experience was not a team issue, it modt certainly was a BSC issue (though not super y).

NVUFC U18/19 is 3-0 with 26 GF and 1 GA.

While not every match will end 0-0 or 2-1, scoring 26 goals in three matches seems senseless.

What happened to good sportsmanship and player development?

NVUFC U15 is 3-0 with 17 GF and 0 GA. This new academy is solid as a rock. My boy could not keep up with any of them lol.

Why are they in division 2? They should have been up in division 1.

Super Y brackets are not broken down by level of play actually. Group A and Group B are equal. The top team from both groups gets a ticket to Tampa Bay for the finals. The third team with the highest points between both groups makes the trip as well.

NP here. Thanks for explaining this!
