It’s a safe haven for nerds. If you are stuck at your base school, you worry about being bullied. I feel bad for those who didn’t get in.

I figure if we haven't heard by 7pm Friday then we should consider it a lost cause. The wait list is MUCH larger this year than previous years, hundreds compared to a previous 50 or so. Cruel really, to give so many kids false hope during a miserable mental health year.

It’s so big because they will run it by school since they have quotas now rather than a countywide pool to find the strongest applicants.

So as of right now, if a student from a school that is oversubscribed- meaning they exceed the 1.5% minimum - rejected their offer, or if a school no longer has waitlisted students to fill their minimum, that space will go to the highest evaluated applicant in the entire waitpool. What you said, therefore, isn’t really true and is a little misleading at best.

Time to move on. Your kids did not get in. Maybe there will be more opportunities for Froshmores.

Yes. So I assume the waitlist is done unless someone doesn’t accept (but stayed on the waitlist).

You are free to remove your child from the waitlist if it is too damaging to them.

In any waitlist situation, usually the overwhelming majority are not selected. This is life.

Nope! Keep on waiting - they will continue pulling from the wait pool until at least the start of the school year.

actually they said it ends in july - they won't continue to do it in august

Was this a recently sent email? They’ve announced several times that they’ll go until the beginning of school.

my fault i read it wrong

But don’t derail this thread with yet another fruitless debate over the changes.

In person PSATs were optional. This exam would have been mandatory.

Try again.
