Yes of course when I put them into the machine from the hamper and from the machine to the drier. It's gross not to. E-coli and all that.

Do you all clean your laundry baskets? We don’t have separate clean/dirty ones so I try to Lysol them but then I feel like I’m going overboard.

The only time I wash my hands after touching dirty clothing is when I have had possible poison ivy exposure from working outside.

Only after puting dirty laundry in washer do I wash my hands, usually after putting the soap and laundry in.

If the clothes are very dirty. I garden, for example.

I fell in the river yesterday. The last time I did that I got a stye from touching my eye. I made sure to wash my hands after putting my clothes in the washer.

I do. My husband's workout clothes have been festering in there for days. I also lysol spray the basket so it's dry for the clean clothes.

No, unless I get detergent on my hands. I use the concentrated kind. Our "dirty" clothes aren't full of dangerous bacteria, so touching them doesn't contaminate my hands more than touching the rest of the house. However, I do wash my hands before cooking, eating or doing something that needs a clean environment, like dressing a wound; and I wash my hands after walking the dog, since I pick up after him and I only have a flimsy layer of poo bag between me and a quadrillion fecal bacteria.
