Eastern Orthodox. Very important, as Orthodox Christians are not permitted to marry someone who has not been baptized. No exceptions. So a prospective spouse being a mainstream trinitarian Christian is the bare minimum.

Everything about Christmas except the nativity story is pagan - the tree, the gifts, the lights, the food, the music, the yule, ...... I'm a Christian so we celebrate the birth of Jesus, but I understand that all of the things surrounding the holiday have pagan roots. You certainly don't need to identify as a Christian to celebrate what is now called "Christmas".

Honestly a lot of Christian families only celebrate the birth of Christ and not “Christmas,” no presents or brightly colored lights or carols, etc.

look at the board title- the metro area (like most urban areas) has a plurality of atheists/agnostics/Jews/Muslims/very liberal christians. This board reflects the area pretty well as far as religion is concerned

I was raised with a very dominating Christian mother and the religion brought me no joy or peace and only bad memories. As a result I tend to be triggered by evangelicals and preachy Christians. In general though a Christian with a quiet and tolerant faith would be fine, as well as anyone with quiet and tolerant beliefs. That goes for new agey, Jewish, Muslim, etc. My preference would be they go for someone who believes in science though!
