He nails the cheesiness we grew up with and the wink adds the perfect cheese as well. I think he does something to make the eyes even dreamier. Haircut is so 80s. He takes me back to being a giddy tween and then he has the nerve to do a more recent song and I feel like a dirty old woman.

Ge Xer here....he is everything that made a heartthrob in the 80s. I am so icked out by how I become a teenage or tween girl watching him and my heart is a flutter. My teenage boy would be horrified and my husband would make fun of me.

Yeah, I’m Gen X too. I think it’s more Gen Xers being reminded of feelings we used to feel. Lots of PPs nailed the nostalgia angle. The 80s songs are what we were listening to when we were young.

I'm middle aged too, but I choose to see it as reconnecting with my younger self. It's not exactly lust but nostalgia that many older women feel--nostalgia for a time when we were young, listened to music on our ______ (insert: stereos, cassette tapes, boomboxes, whatever), and daydreamed about boys. He's tapping into that vibe, not a Mrs. Robinson vibe.
I checked out his channel(?) and lip syncing to 70s/80s is great—feels like a high school crush. Anything more recent makes me think of him as my son—ick. Know your audience young man!
