And Stars/Capital and Pride certainly do tie and beat Heros, M&D, and MD United their fair share. You obviously haven’t really followed girls lax in the DMV for long.

A few years ago, M&D posted something to the effect that travel teams were competitive and they actually encouraged girls to try out at other Clubs. I think they held try outs in late August during that time, but currently hold them in mid July like most Clubs. I like the July dates because as a PP noted, girls are at the top of their game. I also think players should enjoy the summer tournaments without worrying about getting an offer or whether they made the A or B team.Reality is that the top teams will dictate the tryout schedule

Similar to Rebels/Renegades. Not sure MH has ever cut a girl that paid.
And as mentioned about Pride, I think MC and Stars should have a lot to worry about with them. Pride is definitely on the upswing while Stars/MC are heading the wrong way. Even NL seems to be building from the younger years and heading in a good direction.
Based on recent results, that seems to be the case. Although I still don't see NL or Pride beating M&D, Hero's Green, Coppermine or MDU, even with their recent upswing.

So girls are not rusty like they are in July or August. And doesn’t conflict with vacations that are taken after tourney season.
So just go away. Maybe that is why these clubs did it. Boys have all moved to June and early July.
What girl is rusty after playing summer tournies? It's not like you have weeks between tournaments and tryouts. She should be just about on top of her game.
I was referring to having tryouts mid August. Which was the norm until a couple years ago.
Not many teams have 4 tourneys left in July. Try again.
First off I didn't say July, I said after tryouts. So....MC Elite and Stars already had tryouts. My DD had a tournament this weekend and now has 3 tournaments left BEFORE her team has tryouts. So that equals 4. And I said 3 or 4... But nice try being snarky.

So you want to tell a girl who has 3 or 4 tournaments still to play that she won't be on the team again next year? Yeah, great plan you have there.
