My kid plays for a top level team. IMO, getting moved down should never come as a surprise. A couple times a year, our coaches meet one on one with families to discuss strengths, weaknesses, and how they see the kid's role on the team. If a kid is struggling, they're already not getting much playing time. Sometimes they want to stick around and ride the bench to be with their friends. Other times, they decide they'll be happier on the B team or, more likely, on an A team at a smaller club. At the higher levels, coaches know what positions they want to upgrade and who they're looking to bring in for them. A candid conversation before tryouts gives the struggling player options, which is usually best for everyone.

We learned about it when we received the new Offer email for the following year.

No explanations. Thanks SYC!

What age is this? Big influx of new players?

From what I hear all U13 and up on the boys side to make room for new MLS Next kids. Unfortunately, most of those new kids will just be part-time players. No real commitment to the Club.

Where are the new players coming from? Arlington?

it's not like smaller clubs don't have a couple of kids here and there capable of playing at higher levels. U13 is when they tend to leave
