And the second photo is last year (age 45). Maybe it's a temporary issue but she looked amazing in 2016 and just looks so puffy and more middle-aged in the second one. Not bad (she's obviously a beautiful woman) but the difference is really striking. I notice it because I have her coloring and similar bone structure and I'm 41 and like how I look, but when I saw her recently I was like "whaaaaat is happening?" If a rich celebrity can take that middle-aged turn so quick, I don't stand a chance!

Didn't she have a kid in between these pics?
Sadly, there is often a big change from early 40 to mid-late 40s because of the massive hormone changes that occur at this time. Menopause and advancing perimenopause are are the great divider that can't be put off. Your looks will change at this time. You can still look good, but the massive hormone shift and estrogen loss are going to cause a marked change. This is what happened to Amy Adams from 41 to 45. Sorry.
I think she deliberately gained weight for Hillbilly Elegy and seems to be working to drop the extra weight now. Looks lovely here:

I think she looks terrible and much older than her age.

Kristen Bell
Kristen Bell has had so much work done, she has that clay look.
We just finished binging The Good Place and her face looked so different from season 3 to 4- I thought she looked pretty natural in the early seasons and then in season 4 she looked all plastic-y. What would that have been from- Botox? She’s naturally young looking, not sure why she thinks she needs whatever-it-was.

Not a natural beauty??? Have you seen some of the pics of her when she was young?
