That's fine, I just don't want it to be rabidly politically active blue-only neighborhood. We had lived in blue cities and come from a very progressive one and I am quite liberal. I just prefer a place where there are both Biden and Trump signs at election and diversity of opinions, e.g. tolerance towards differences as I do not fall cleanly into either political party any longer. I would think DC must have political variety in the city itself and certainly in nearby burbs by the nature of what this city is about. Also we are a mixed race family.

We have normal Democrats and normal Republicans.
It's very nice.
But OP wants GQP accepted as well. Is that Great Falls?
Don't know what "GQP" stands for. It wasn't in the first post and I didn't read the entire thread. I assume it doesn't mean "General Quality of Parks". We do have Riverbend and Great Falls park which is a nice perk.
QAnon.

That's a weird abbreviation. There aren't any "p"s in that word.
I don't know any Q Anon people so no, he's safe from that here lol.

We are looking for a place that would be politically diverse and where people are generally open minded and not up in arms if you are not woke enough or don't uniformly recite CNN and/or liberal outlets or vice versa, we don't discriminate. We are likely to live in the residential or suburban area as we want more space and outdoors. I really dislike wokeness in general, so a woke neighborhood would not be a good fit, neither would be predominantly hard core republican or religious area. I am hoping DC metro is a mix due to it being the seat of power and variety of political views represented. Is this true?

Anonymous wrote:My mom talks about not being “woke”. I don’t know anyone who goes around talking about being woke, and I’m a minority. The people using the word woke to me seem to have a chip on their shoulder and bitter about something. My mother frankly is racist and I’ve heard her say all sorts of heinous stuff about minorities so if you’d like company like that, she lives in Potomac.

Anonymous wrote:I basically never talk politics with my neighbors. Not as a pointed thing, it just doesn't come up. When I do there's a lot of generic CNN style liberalism, which aren't my politics, but it's never really been an issue.

I'm in VA outside the beltway, and OP needs to go further out that this. Plenty of BLM signs and outdoor mask wearing in Fairfax, and everybody I know is vaccinated or wants to be.
Keep heading west, OP. Or south.
Western Fairfax here. We’re too woke for OP. Who lost me at wanting Trump and Biden signs to co-exist in peace. This area is full of the people who had to live with Trump here and try to keep the government functioning through the nuttiness. We know how corrupt, dangerous and bad it was. And we were here 1/6. Just no. Bush, Romney, etc signs. Sure. Not Tru,p. Also, a very immigrant heavy area. Very high vaccine acceptance. My kids aren’t little anymore, but the tweens and teens are masked. Lots of emphasis on academics and college admissions. Most kids go big into sports or fine arts as well.
OP would be miserable. Head West OP. Western Loudoun maybe. I’d say Prince William but (lowers voice) the Hispanics are there). Good luck!
+1
Well said. WTF to the bolded.
