Sorry, the white looks much better. It is a pain to fix if it gets damaged though.

My favorite car was a mercury mariner in pearly light green. It was so easy to spot in parking lots and never showed dirt. I really wonder why green, in any shade, is so much more rare for car colors.

As an aside, we also have a sage green couch that has held up great and hides spots pretty well. That color green is almost a neutral.

White looks sharp in contrast to the dark gray roadway.

The worst would be a dark gray car on a dark gray road. Black shows way too much dirt. Reds are ok. I don't usually care for blues or greens. Had beige for 14 yrs...meh. silver is ok, but not as sharp against the dark gray road color.

Basically, white and red look great.

My wife wants a pearl white SUV, not a normal white. Must be a woman thing. Not my favorite car color, but my first car was white, not that I had any choice over it (used car).

I wanted white, and was willing to pay more because it has that "pearly" finish. It's my first white car, and I love it. Looks great whether it is clean or dirty!

It depends. Many manufacturers charge about $500 more for the colors that are made with metallic paint vs non-metallic paint. Honda/Acura is an example so certain colors cost $500 on MSRP. Not not many pay MSRP so they aren’t seeing the minor difference in price. You also don’t pay the difference on used cars.
