No. DCPS schools generally don't take new students after count day in October. It's disingenuous for WTU trolls to claim that we could have in-person seats but we just don't want them. Additionally, there's nothing wrong with expecting your own school to open.

Its hard to dissociate race discussions from the entire school system altogether. The union is a way to get everyone to have an seat at the table and represented. I disagree with many things that the Mayor has done, but she is not ruining my life or is a child-hater or any number of things she has been accused here on these boards.
While I know the teachers at our DCPS schools have been making a valiant effort to make this all work, the criticism the WTU gets is completely justified. This organization has done everything in its power to keep kids out of physical classrooms. It's clear they do not have the best interests of the kids of this city in mind. AND - I am not a racist because I happen to be white and want my kids back in school full time. If you don't want your kids back fine, stay virtual, but don't stand in the way of in person for those who want it.

News flash - it’s not the white people bringing race into this...

The people without a seat at the table seem to be parents and children.
