Yup. Bet OP's neighbors had to listen to twelve, eighteen, or more (!!!!!!) months of non-stop, ear splitting construction, 10 hours per day, while OP's new McMansion was being built - now the neighborhood is supposed to conform to her. LOL.

So 5,340+ (!!!!) hours of that non stop, ear splitting construction noise, with no escape - I would say you should STF down, OP. A new house does not a princess make, and you can't buy class.

all I can say is that i I think I got lucky with our dog. She is not a barker. If someone is on our front porch, she will make a low woof sound. But outside? Rarely ever barks. If we are on a walk and another dog starts lunging and barking she might bark back once, but we have taught her to stay calm and we shield her. She also gets about 5 miles a day of walking.

anyway, we used to live next door to people who had 4-5 dogs, who barked all day. They would be let out in the morning and back inside at evening, but never walked. They were within the city guidelines, so nothing we could do.

Not all dogs can be trained. We adopted a rescue beagley houndy dog who was about 5. As a hound, she did not bark very much and she was never off leash outside of a dog park, but if there was a fox in her path- nothing could stop her from barking. I don't think you can train instinct out.

It's just the other bad/lazy/selfish dog owners chiming in in solidarity. Gotta circle the wagons. I used to live in a neighborhood full of them, their little darlings would stand outside and bark for hours on end while the owners drooled in front of the TV watching sports. Bad dog owners tend to stick together.

We all understand that dogs bark, but a dog should not be so distressed that it is outside at all hours barking. Stop making excuses for lazy dog owners.
