Similarly to the Karens there are the Lori Loughlin parents. If it could happened in prestigious college why not in a local club. I have noticed those parents kissing the MD a$$ all the time.

People always have a hard time facing the fact that their kids are overall pretty average.

Getting invited to a training center is simply a look. More than half the kids called in never get invited to a camp. That doesn’t mean the kids are deserving or talented but the filter gets harder. Sorry your kids didn’t even get the call for a training center, virtual or otherwise. Does this mean they are worse players? No, but it also doesn’t mean they are better than the kids invited either. But for those who did get an invite it does help on their resume.

But to live a life being so cynical is really pathetic.

Try 99.9999 don’t get a next step invite. And the next step sure in the heck isn’t a camp call. I think younger parents truly don’t understand what it really is. I also think many parents like to over hype it. It’s actually not that big of a deal. And yes, it’s manipulated. Why...because it’s not that big of a deal.

Now, the next steps get harder and harder to manipulate. That’s why 99.999 don’t see anything past the kick around session.

Do some talented players go? Yes
Do some average to below players go? Yes
Do all the best go? No
Do some get recommend by their coaches? Yes
Do some get recommended by their trainers? Yes
Do some get recommended by a random scout? Yes, but rarely.

How many kids in Virginia have recently gone through the entire process and made a roster? I believe two....maybe three.

Are those players good? Yep

Because the scout is a parent at FCV. The delusion on the fcv sidelines is real.

Not quite but we know who the scouts are. They told me that FCV will get a ecnl slot eventually because GAL is a joke. Arlington will never get in bc of McLean. Once FCV gets into ECNL, it will be easier to justify their selections.

It matters because you can put it on your resume? Make your kids sound and look good? That’s exactly the problem. Parents will sell their soul and become political advocates and influencers to obtain “National Training Center Attendee” status. When in reality it’s kick around session with zero meaning.

And lets just call it out officially - Diane Drake said to use Avatus Stone (from Explosive performance in McLean/Tysons) as a trainer. Training with him will get you a call up to National Training Center. I know 4 girls (FCV and McLean) that have done this. It was very soon after starting with Avatus too - they were called up. It's completely a connection thing. Now the issue is - the word is out - everyone tries to get to Avatus, the training cost has increased.

I know plenty of girls who trained with Avatus who never got called up. Being close with Diane back in the day used to help, not sure it still does.

That's because there are now too many girls with the same message. Not EVERY girl but it's pretty much a requirement for the ones who do.

Some clubs published the information on social media while others did not so it is not clear which clubs had people called into the camp.
