I have kids and do laundry every day. If a cloth became moldy somehow, I'd toss it. I also only use towels once -gasp!!

Nah, still gross you are putting wet towels in a laundry pile. It’s always obvious who people are that do this. Their towels always smell like mildew.

We use fresh wash cloths for face cleaning every morning and evening. After you use it, you wring it out and it sits on the edge of the sink to dry more. The next morning when it is almost completely dry it gets tossed into the “washcloth hamper” which is a small mostly open mesh hamper so that it continues to dry. This prevents damp washcloths from being in regular hamper. And the kids can bring down just towel laundry.

But we also have a workout clothes hamper in the laundry room because those are gross and sweaty.

Correct. The picture has a regular-sized towel, a hand towel, and a washcloth.

The smallest "towel" is a hand towel, not a washcloth. I do use my hand towel for things other than cleaning house -- namely, for drying my hands.

Washcloths are not towels. When you get down to that size, it is called a washcloth.

+1. Washcloths were used back in the day as people bathed so rarely they needed to scrub off the funk.

I own a dozen washcloths as I bought them for burpcloths for the babies. Don't use them otherwise. Would never hit up my taint with one-gross!
