With that said, absolutely agreed Kate would never pick the EA guy over her husband and they had zero chemistry. That was not believable. But for me, Katherine Heigl in the role with her current look was also unbelievable in the role. I liked the teenage Tully but it was next to impossible to believe that the Tully character was some sort of desirable vixen. It seemed so off. She looked so unattractive.
Really? I thought the teen Tully was beautiful

Not sure what everyone is talking about with Katherine Heigl and the fillers. I think she looks really beautiful. I like her character a lot more than Kate's, and I love the scenes where the girls are in high school.
K Heighl reminds me of Charlize Theron. They are both naturally beautiful and have a sort of brash/IDGAF confidence. I find it very appealing!

I agree that Sarah Chalke was not sexy. I think it’s ok though because some women just aren’t all that sexy. She has an elegance about her, but not in this role. She pulled off someone more sexy and desirable in Friends From College. She was not sexy in Tully’s lingerie.
I can see the emotional affair — this is a middle aged woman with a marriage on the rocks picking a guy (PTA dad) who is similarly wounded (widower) and nearby and available. She wasn’t out looking for it to have happened.
I cannot understand why Kate’s house is so jaw droppingly amazing. She clearly doesn’t come from money and then spent most of her life not working for pay and there was no indication that Johnny comes from money.
I found the cliffhanger at the end to be a shitty thing to do to the audience especially when there is no information about if or when there will be a season 2.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I agree. That deer in headlights look she constantly had was so unattractive. And yeah, the emotional crush character was not a good casting choice. I've liked him in other stuff but not this.Anonymous wrote:Kate/Sarah Chalke is the most unsexy woman. Every scene with her kissing or trying to be romantic actually turns my stomach.
That said the guy who plays her emotional crush is incredibly off-putting to me also.
+1
