Finally some hard facts!!! Hard for the CCL haters to argue against that fact
Top three of CCL for 2005 girls has no NOVA teams. The only respectable looking girls side in CCL is Herndon. Prolly Loudoun and Arlington too but that’s because their CCL teams are feeders into their ECNL and GA teams.
Lol Loudoun and Arlington are not using their CCL teams as feeders. The thing is the ECNL and GA teams will only give you are hard look if you are coming from an ECNL or GA team. It’s just the way things are. Once they select the girls at u13 that’s it for the most part.
I don’t know about Arlington but Loudoun sells their garbage red (CCL1) and black (CCL2) teams as the feeders to ECNL.
You look at their ECNL results, then their CCL results and you’ll see that at any league Loudoun is typically the used and abused side of the contest. In some cases extremely embarrassingly. Imagine going a whole season with 0 wins and 1 goal scored.![]()
But parents are too lobotomized and hijacked by their patch and suffer from cognitive dissonance when they’re confronted with the harsh truth. They’re scared to leave what’s revered as cool and many do not want to step out of the comfort zones.
Those who do wish they had done so earlier.
The cognitive dissonance is when colleges start to look at your DD they aren't looking at your team record. Each kid interested in playing in college will find their level then. For those bench players on a highly successful team they will have learned that playing 15 minutes a game didn't get them into a better soccer program than the starter on that bad team they used to beat all the time got into.
While it must be frustrating for kids to go winless and score a single goal how frustrating must it be when a player watched their team win all those years and still ended up at the same college level as the player on the bad team?

I want her to have the opportunity to properly be evaluated and our club doesn’t get that kind of exposure. Also, I don’t see much of a plan for the girls. It looks like the boys get preferred treatment, girls teams just for friends circles and that’s it

Loudoun’s feeders for ECNL are mid-ncsl level.
Is this why that club is so mediocre?
Talking about 2005 girls specifically not clubs as a whole
Both the club and the 05s there are mediocre. There’s nothing of substance. Except for tacky social media posts.
Loudoun 05 ECNL girls who are in the bottom middle of the pack in ECNL recently beat Herndon 05G 4-2. Loudoun is a mediocre to poor ECNL team, but still easily handles a top CCL team. Herndon is near the top of CCL and have lost only once in 11 games in CCL competition. Also, that Herndon team is a feeder team to McLean ECNL team who is near top of the ecnl standings. I.e. the best players on that team that are good enough, get pulled onto McLean 05 or 06 ECNL (due to coach being the same, and yes some 06s play up on the Herndon 05 team). If you want a comparison between ECNL and CCL that is a representative example. There are some decent CCL teams and players, but top to bottom ECNL girls teams and competition and exposure to college coaches are simply better. If you live “near” BRYC (ie Fairfax) then try McLean first as they are the best NOVA ECNL 05 girls club. Tough team to make with a large roster however. BRYC is the worst, drawing with and losing to Loudoun in close games. Metro United plays GA and is based out of Great Falls/Reston and is the worst of the area ECNL/GA teams. Limited exposure, very niche club, and not really a step up from Herndon (for comparison) in terms of coaching or exposure. Arlington is good, also plays GA. McLean beat them recently in a close match. VDA, FCV, and Loudoun are the other 3 GA/ECNL clubs but are in Prince William and Loudoun counties. FCV 05G team has very strong players and routinely beats Arlington. They never play McLean but generally McLean’s coaching is better, but FCVs top players are better. There is a factual assessment of the 05G situation here in NOVA. Best of luck.
You failed to mention, as a point of comparison that McLean could only tie Loudoun 1-1 and that they have only won games against 11th and 12th place VDA and BRYC respectively. McLean struggles against teams with winning records. And that McLean struggle out of conference. So let’s pump the breaks a little.
A decent team but a perfect example of the overall NOVA dilution of talent
And your child plays for whom again?
Won’t tell us will you
Don’t be offended, the records are out there and the fact is outside of a team here or there NOVA “Elite” soccer is very diluted.
So, to the CCL parent, you have choice. All ECNL/GA teams will offer a platform. All are teams that your DD can make however playing time and team role will certainly vary.
