No one is saying "first." People who are already putting their health at risk by teaching in person, whether public, private, or early childhood / daycare workers, should be in the front of the line. People teaching from home should not be the priority. We're they the ones saying that distance learning was just as good as in-person? Then have at it.

Lol private school teachers don’t want to be in person and get sick. Only you parents want us there. . My 90 year old mother lives with me I have been asked in order to pay my bills to go teach in person and expose my loved ones.


Speak for yourself. I much prefer working in person and feel that the precautions I am taking are adequate; I have been teaching for months now and no one has gotten ill at my school.

Public school teachers want to go first now. After saying that nothing will be safe and they can teach exactly the same doing distance learning as they can in the classroom. You have been teaching from home and not complaining about it since September but what about the kids you're teaching? The ones who are falling through the cracks? Pathetic that now you want to be ahead of the teachers who have been teaching in person for months now.


The bolded is my gripe. It's not that teachers demanded a safer environment. It's that they refused to acknowledge the cost of safety and blame kids and parents for home DL does not work.

This. We can be forced back into unsafe environments because we have no union to protect us, so they know they don’t need to vax us. We will still keep showing up because if we don’t, our kids don’t eat.


Confirmed. We were forced don't think we had a choice.
