I used to tithe about 3-5% to the Church, but stopped years ago when they started to dip their toes is political/social issues. I give that money to organizations who support those causes instead.

I also donate 15 hours a week to two causes I care deeply about. I find time is as valuable as money if offered in a meaningful amount.

We’re not religious but give 5% to various charities each year. My goal is 10% and have 7% budgeted for 2021. Our family is fortunate (UMC) and feel that we have a responsibility to give.
