The 964 RS America doesn’t give me much driving experience other than a higher price tag over a C2. I also want one that is a
hot rod that is highly modified which I wouldn’t do with an RS America. I’ve considered the 993, but it feels a lot newer and than 1 generation and I still like the older aircooled cars more.
If you really want to modify it you should really reconsider the 993 (depending upon your experience level). They are much more forgiving (and air-cooled - more accurately, oil-cooled).
I have raced or track driven and instructed every model from 1970 thru 2011 (including the factory race cars from 1999 - 2010).
But, at the end of the day, it is whatever puts a smile on your face.
