What town is this? I’m in MA and every district except one that I know of is switching between remote/hybrid, depending on numbers, or staying full remote. It’s crazy up here due to the hold the teachers unions have on these small town school districts.

Who says people are doing this to avoid stress? It’s about the education of their children. Some people are willing to sacrifice for that.
People just aren't willing to parent their kids. I get it.
Your kids are getting an education - that mommy and daddy aren't resilient and can't hack it. And to the women out there doing too much work, either your husband is horrible and lazy or you aren't letting him participate. Your kids are learning that too.
You're literally getting paid to educate our kids. I see no reason why parents should continue to do a large portion of your job for you. Coming to this forum to be belittle parents who want schools to reopen isn't helping your cause to keep schools closed; it's only showing parents that WTU teachers don't value our children's education.
Parent here. Troll troll troll troll will you STFU already?

Because of closed schools, as well as closed museums, indoor dining, and the majority of people who are able to work from home, are working from home. Of course it is safer here in DC than in Florida where schools are open. Feel free to move. I am happy here knowing my family is safe. Bowser, like her or not, has kept the city safe from covid, Schools can stay closed. Schools will open in the fall, maybe sooner, like term 4.

Mommy why can’t I run at age 20.
Well you over whelmed me when you were 8 during a pandemic so we moved to Florida so you could go in person
I believed if I kept saying covid doesn’t spread in schools it would be true when 25% of DCPS cares classrooms have kids and adults w covid.
But i kept saying learning loss when I meant i could juggle my schedule and your dad was no help.
Hey with all this lack of learning loss it will be great when your kids physical exertion level is sitting on a couch. They can read and read then.
It’s a pandemic. Suffer and deal and eventually it will end

Imagine how much better we'd be right now if Bowser hadn't waited about three months too long to shut down indoor dining again. But hey, at least the city's bros got to drink indoors all fall while our kids were shut out of their schools. Makes perfect sense.
I bet indoor dining reopens again before the schools reopen.
Bowser has not kept the city safe from covid.

I want to parent in a world where there is in person K-12 school & I’m going to advocate for that and I don’t have any shame in it. I strongly value education and the school as social center pedagogy (John Dewey).
