Sure, some posts are about USWNT and actual inquiries about where their kid should play, but those threads with most replies are about other clubs and ages.
I'm with other parents that wanna see clubs compete at a high level. Dunno about you, but I've spend 5000 hours with my DD at the fields one-on-one and have hopes she plays any level in college. So, forgive us parents that want to see them compete against the best on an individual level.

Why would you "love" this?
Because it’s not creepy or weird at all to follow girls travel soccer as a sport
Idiot, this is a discussion about a girls tournament and as a parent of a girl who plays for a club that will play in the tournament, I would like to see FCV and McLean play because they are two strong teams and DD has played against both and has friends on both.
Jesus, who cares. The problem with all of this is parents like you who think these games mean anything. Creating these little club rivalries acting like the players are these little celebrities.
And would would the result of such a game even mean? What does it say about those kids or your kid? It is just weird to follow it or care that much about youth club soccer.
Says the person to sought out a soccer message board on internet and felt indignant enough to reply to the post. Yo, kettle.

My daughter is playing too- I want her to have fun. How another team from her club plays or how teams from other clubs play doesn’t even register
You people truly are morons. If your DD is on an elite team, she and her teammates will want to play against the best. As a parent, I enjoy watching them when they are playing at their best against best. There is nothing wrong with someone wanting to see McLean play FCV or Richmond play NC Courage. After years attending games against the same teams and players, and watching the players and teams improve, you know who the best are. I am sorry if you are too busy reading Woke Digest to get caught up on the latest victimhood arguments but while you were doing that I was bust watching my DDs and their teams develop and compete.
Wow. Relax. It is youth soccer. Enjoy the games but relax.

Exactly. Once recruiting starts to happen all these little rivalries and rankings kind of just go away as parents and players find out where they really stand. It very quickly becomes about each kids own individual process and pathway. I've yet to hear a college coach ask a player what their team record or team ranking was.
