I am an Asian immigrant and I did not grow up being exposed to African faces at all in my home country. We did watch a lot of European and Hollywood movies and so the western standards of beauty was something that we understood and appreciated. In US too, the black women looked very westernized - Iman, Tyra Banks, Whitney Houston, Venessa Williams, Halle Berry, Beyoncé, Meghan Markle etc.

But the first time I saw Lupita Nyong'o, I was absolutely stunned. She is so utterly beautiful that her beauty transcends any socialization we have ever had about what is beautiful. I find her as beautiful as a sunset or a waterfall. She mesmerizes you.

I have to disagree about Megan fox. I think she’s pretty. But right now she looks like plastic surgery face to me, and even years ago—I think pretty, but not like AMAZING pretty. I dunno. I am a straight woman so maybe that’s why.
