Agree with this. Also mispronouncing middle names is not a problem, because people don't know until it's discussed, and that's when you tell them.

If the name is Christina that's feminine enough that most would assume it's a girl with the 2-syllable pronunciation, no matter the spelling.
I prefer Noel. Seems more traditional and less cutesy.

If you pick a different name that is gender neutral I agree that some may think it's the 1-syllable version. Cameron Noel could go either way, but my first guess might be 1-syllable paired with that first name.

Love Noel/Noelle for a Christmas baby! It’s fun. Both are fine for a girl IMO. Even with the Noel spelling almost no one will assume the Nole pronunciation first. I’ve never met a Noel-pronounced-Nole in my life. And I kind of like the simplicity of the less feminine spelling.

Not a fan of Christina. I associate it with circa 2000s Xtina Aguielera and immediately think of shiny low rise pants. Oddly specific but true.

I also love both Holly and Ivy.

I named my daughter Faith and never regretted it for a moment.

Wow. People being very ugly about these classic names. Really could you get uglier than Stella Hazel?

I agree. This is way too theme-y. As someone with a December birthday it kind of sucks to have your birthday overshadowed by Christmas. I wouldn't want my whole name to be ruled by the holiday too.

+1

DD was supposed to be a Christmas baby. As it was, se came home on Christmas Eve. We toyed with these kinds of names. I’m glad we didn’t. She is herself, despite her proximity to Christmas, and doesn’t need her whole life defined by it. Birthday parties and presents are already hard enough to carve out “her time” for.

I like the name Noelle, but for a baby born around Christmas, it really seems overkill. Christina too, but it is so common.
Have you considered Gabrielle? On theme, since Gabriel is considered the herald of Christ's birth.
