Anonymous wrote:Yes. It should have been decided on back in September. I cannot believe that the SB has had more meetings on TJ admissions at this point than return to school.

Does anyone know when will be the next meeting?

Now on the agenda for a work session (which means no citizen participation) December 7 from 11-4.

Exactly. But it is impossible to reason with emotional thinkers.

that was before rich people realized that you could prepare for tests- now there is a direct correlation between affluence and SAT scores. Also citing the federalist is not going to help you convince anyone

Anonymous wrote:How can the SB approve of a new admissions process that benefits whites the most using their own models? It doesn't make sense. Does the TJ application ask for race? If not, how will they know? Are they really going to go by names?

Nothing on BoardDocs. Now they are tackling the academy at Lewis HS on December 1. Return-to-school is supposed to next be December 10. Not sure if there's time for another meeting in between.
Yet another indication their priorities are completely out of whack. How do we get replacements on the School Board ASAP?
There is a group currently collecting signatures for a recall trial for Tholen, Cohen, and Omeish. if you live in Dranesville or Springfield you can sign for your school board member, and anyone can sign for Omeish.
Other than that, I haven't heard of any recall efforts.
