Lots of posters on here would horrify the Peleton instructors.

This is what I thought. He's probably annoyed that you spent a crap-ton of money and, if you just do scenic rides, wasted it. I would be.
OP, does DH or anyone else in the house use it? Who wanted it? If he did, then he should shut his mouth. If you wanted it, I agree that it’s a waste of money to use the Peleton on scenic rides (which aren’t that good anyway). You would get a much better workout (heartrate up, calories burned, etc) doing the rides. Start with short beginner rides and work up from there.
Is there a life goal to use money as efficiently as possible?
Did someone ask you about the ways to get a better workout?

+1. Also you can “zone out” on any old stationary bike. A peloton is not required.
OP's husband seems to use it too so what other option do you suggest? They spend MORE money and get two, different bikes?
You can get/use the Pelaton app with a much less expensive bike. But fools and their money are soon parted.

The instructor rides are great and I’m dripping with sweat after.
I have set 2 PRs this week.
I was in the top 5 of a live ride with 4 30-year old men and I’m a 50-year old woman.
You don’t get better if you don’t push and they have so many different t instructors you should be able to find at least one you like.
WTF? what is wrong with you people? Marriages are not supposed to be adversarial! They are a team TOGETHER. No one GAF about your peleton performance, Susan.
Not all of us would take this comment as adversarial.
A lot of the context would be the dynamic between the spouses in general though.

Anonymous wrote:Look, I have a Peloton. I have not been on it in months due to some medical issues. I prob could ride the scenic rides but that is not why I bought the bike. I bought it to get my butt kicked by some awesome instructors in those classes. That's the real value to Peloton and I think a lot of folks would agree.
So maybe he's not criticizing you in the way you think? Maybe he doesn't understand why you're option more from the rides you can do on any bike, to the ones that Peloton is known for? Look, I don't care what you do. You prefer the scenic rides? That's great. But, I personally wouldn't spend all this money for a Peloton just to do those.
